I'm Mara.  I live in the Washington, DC area with my husband and two dogs, and run a large database for a living.

I've been interested in textiles in one way or another since I was a child; my interests include spinning, dyeing, costume design, and a bunch of other stuff.

I periodically try to keep a blog, but am too busy to be able to update it regularly.
